Mrs. Pombert has been teaching at our school for 30 years! She has always taught Kindergarten in the same classroom. Her daughter Tricia attended ECS from Kindergarten through eighth grade, and is now the Daycare Director. Her son Rob lives in Escondido. His three daughters have attended ECS, and the youngest one is now in eighth grade here. Mrs. Pombert loves reading, knitting, quilting, and giraffes. Mostly, she loves teaching children about Jesus! Mrs. Pombert holds a B.S. in Education.
Mrs. Alexander has a B.A. from Loyola University. She has three wonderful children who all graduated from ECS and are now in college. She has been employed at our school since 2008. Prior to that she taught at a Christian preschool for 10 years. When she is not teaching, she enjoys playing with her kids and reading.
Mrs. Stock has been at ECS since 2007. She has a Bachelor's Degree from Cal State San Marcos, a CA Multiple Subject K-8 State Credential and is CLAD certified. Mrs. Stock has been married to her wonderful husband Jeremiah for 3 years and has a precious daughter named Waverly Rose who is in our Infant Toddler Program. Mrs. Stock enjoys cooking and doing crafts. She has always wanted to teach our lower elementary students ever since she began at ECS as a Summer in the Son staffer at the age of 17. Her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 5:16.
Mrs. Zaccaria grew up all over the United States and graduated from Baylor University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and also has a California state credential. She has joyfully been teaching first grade at ECS since 2004. Outside of being with her first graders she loves spending time with her family and serving with her non-profit ministry working to abolish human trafficking. Her favorite book of the Bible is Hosea.
Mrs. Carney has taught at ECS for 12 years. She holds a lifetime California teaching credential and graduated from the University of San Diego. She has a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology with a Reading Specialist Credential. She took 20 years off in the middle of her teaching career to raise 3 daughters. Mrs. Carney is a fourth generation teacher with one daughter who will become a fifth generation teacher. She loves teaching because she knows that all she invests into each day is invested in God's greatest treasure, His children!
Mrs. Ferreira came to ECS after working in Women’s Ministries for twenty years and raising her four boys. She attended Biola University and holds a California state credential. She has taught second grade at ECS for 17 years. She has an identical twin sister who she enjoys traveling with. She has four married sons, four terrific daughters-in-law and eight grandchildren. At ECS she most values the opportunity to incorporate into daily curriculum a love for current events and a heart for missions around the world.
Mrs. Guerrieri's alma maters are SDSU and CSUSM. She started teaching In ECS's third grade (the best grade) in 1991. Before that she worked for Migrant Education as the coordinating teacher. She has an awesome husband and a delightful daughter who also is a teacher. Her favorite pastimes, when she is not teaching, are swimming, shopping, and loving on her granddaughter. She feels blessed to be able to share Jesus with her class.
Mrs. Weaver holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Cal Poly Pomona and a Master’s degree in Education from National University. Mrs. Weaver is passionate about Christian education and believes that there is no one-size-fits-all method of learning or teaching and incorporates this philosophy into her lessons so that all students have the opportunity to succeed. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time with her family and husband, and spoiling her exotic long hair cat, Ki'en. Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.
Ms. Beatty loves teaching 4th grade at Escondido Christian School. She is grateful that she has been at ECS since 1994. She has a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Taylor University in Indiana. Ms. Beatty has been blessed with two wonderful children and a terrific son-in-law. Both her son and daughter attended ECS. She even had her son in her 4th grade class! Ms. Beatty loves being grandmother to her beautiful granddaughter, Holland Elizabeth. She enjoys singing in the choir at her church, shopping, dining out, reading and playing golf. Her favorite Bible verses are Philippians 4:4-9.
Mrs. Moiseve taught for five years at Mira Mesa Christian School is excited to take the leap to ECS! Her education includes a Bachelors and multiple-subject CA state teaching credential through SDSU. Mrs. Moiseve is married to her wonderful husband, Lee, and has a sweet 8-month-old baby boy named Barrett. She enjoys playing with her two rescue dogs, Rascal and Bandit. Her passions include travel, missions, gardening, reading, and teaching! She looks forward to incorporating a Biblical worldview into the curriculum and sharing God's love with the students.
Mrs.Hicks began her career working with 5th graders in Kentucky and comes to us after teaching at Maranatha Christian School for three years. She holds a multi-subject elementary California teaching credential and will finish her Master's degree in Elementary Education in December. Mrs. Hicks is a vibrant, enthusiastic, dedicated teacher with a heart for ministering to children. Her husband serves our country in the Navy and she has an adorable 19-month old daughter who is in our Infant Toddler Program.
