Escondido Christian School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color or national and ethnic origin in administering its educational policies, admission policies, financial aid, and athletic or other school-administered programs.
Escondido Christian School will admit students with special needs dependent upon the school's ability to meet these needs. Students seeking enrollment with an IEP will meet with the principal and school counselor to evaluate the school's ability to accommodate the students through the use of our resource program and/or class placement.
The Admissions Team of ECS reserves the right to determine whether or not our school is able to meet the spiritual, social & academic needs of each applicant. In certain cases, it may be in the best interest of the school that the Admissions Team declines an enrollment request for a prospective student. The presence of major concerns could have an adverse effect on classmates, the Christian testimony and the culture of our school.
A student’s acceptance at ECS is contingent upon the student’s ability measured by our intake testing program along with the information gathered in conjunction with the application and interview. A probationary attendance period of nine school weeks is required on condition of a review of previous school records and teacher recommendation. During this time it is incumbent on the student to demonstrate that he or she desires to be part of the school. Should it become apparent during this time that the student and/or parent is not committed to the goals of our school, the student will be dismissed.
Students who are entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 1st, pending intake testing.
No Student shall be admitted who:
has emotional or disciplinary problems that cannot be met by the faculty and support staff of ECS
has a court record, been previously expelled from another school or a reputation that is not aligned with the mission and philosophy of ECS
The Admissions Team reserves the right to give preemptive consideration to any application as led by the Holy Spirit.
